About The Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics is home to 9 tenured or tenure-track faculty, 3 full-time instructors, along with other dedicated adjunct faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and a full-time administrative assistant. This department is committed to providing its students with a high quality education. This level of quality is achieved with a combination of caring faculty and high standards and expectations.

The department is housed in the new Ratliff Building North (RBN). The facilities are top notch, with well-designed classrom spaces, computer facilities, and tutoring/study areas. Faculty offices are located close to the classrooms to facilitate faculty-student interaction.

All of our mathematics majors interact with a faculty mentor in a capstone senior seminar project. Additionally, several faculty are actively engaged in undergraduate research with our small REU program.
